Abracadabra! I’ve waved a magic wand, and everything is amazing. What does your life look like? Is it impossible to imagine? I’ll share something I learned from therapy. Go ahead. Take five minutes and envision your dream life. Now let’s dive deeper. Every week, we explore a Tarot card because Tarot is rich in symbology and helps us tap into our intuition
Card of the Week: The Magician
The Magician holds a double-edged white wand upright while pointing down. There is a table before him with a cup, a pentacle, a sword, and a staff, and he is surrounded by roses and lilies.
The Pattern It Reveals
The Magician has everything he needs on the table. What we think becomes our reality. Some of us ignore the tools that are at hand. To get the flowers to bloom requires us to step out of the Chief Doing Officer role and become the Trusted Advisor.
The Question Worth Asking
Do I believe that change is possible?
After I wrote out my dream life, my therapist reviewed it with me. Aside from not having a physical storefront with a tea station, my life was very closely aligned with my dreams. I needed a new perspective to see it as it was and shift my mindset.
One Small Experiment to Try This Week
Take five minutes and write down one thing you want to be true about your life. Most of my clients want to “fix” their kids, but I find that kids are a mirror, so let’s start by looking inward. Then for the rest of the week, find the evidence that it can be true. Do they ALWAYS forget a chore or is it only some of the time? Also, drop an "I Commit" in the comments, and I'll do something special for you :)
If you don’t believe you have the magic inside, I have created a nurturing, supportive space for parents just like you. It’s called Peaceful Parenting, and other parents are changing their lives, five minutes at a time. Already a member? Please tell a friend.
