Hi, friends 👋🏽. I’m Stacy Casson, Chief Play Officer at Things to Think About. As a mom of five who also held a full-time job, I used to hold a PhD in creating chaos. Now, I help other busy, overwhelmed parents have peaceful evenings and avoid dramatic mornings. I discovered that by applying organizational principles through play, I could reduce my mental load, stop nagging, and finally move from overwhelm to action. You set the tone for your kids, and I can help you set a calm one. Let’s get started.
Celebrate Your Wins
Pause for a moment:
What’s one thing you accomplished this week—big or small?
- Did you organize your purse?
- Did you complete that application?
- Did you balance your checkbook?
Drop your win in the comments or share it with a friend!
My wins: My parenting group is having huge success with our Five Minute Club Daily Decluttering Challenge. I’m talking about finding lost items and reclaiming space. Celebrating these small wins reminds you that you are more than capable of accomplishing bigger goals.
Every week, we explore a Tarot card because Tarot is rich in symbology and helps us tap into our intuition. Reflecting on the card and noting what comes to mind is a metaphorical form of brainstorming that can provide insights when problem-solving.

Card of the Week: Justice
How do you balance competing priorities? A crowned, robed figure sits between two columns, holding a sword in one hand and gold scales in the other. I interpret the two columns as the head and the heart. The sword cuts away confusion to ensure the scales are balanced. My eye is drawn to the cloth draped between the columns. What’s hiding behind the cloth?
The Pattern It Reveals
It’s tempting to whisk everything into a closet or a junk drawer and deal with it someday. You think that because the surface appears clean and orderly, everything is fine. Then you can’t find the form or document you need. What happened to that card you bought? Even if you can’t see it, the uncertainty is hiding behind that door, just like in the card. I imagine the person getting up and cutting open the cloth, using the scale to weigh what really matters.
The Question Worth Asking
Where are you out of balance or alignment in life?
One Small Experiment to Try This Week
What do you want to accomplish this week? Take a moment to pause and think, is this next thing going to get me closer to my goal, or further away from it? When I wake up, I start my day with gratitude instead of reaching for my phone. I know scrolling first thing wastes time, delays my walk, and throws off my schedule. Notice how this helps you to align with your purpose.
Ready to Get in Balance?
So many people tell me that they need a break but don’t have time to take one. I know I make all kinds of mistakes when I’m mentally exhausted, wasting time. I designed my Calm Down Sessions from my own practice of hitting a mental reset switch. It is only fifteen minutes because I know how busy parents are and that every minute counts. When you take a moment to reset and renew your nervous system, you reclaim your time and energy to find that recall notice and make that appointment. Ready to reclaim your time and energy? Book a Calm Down Session and get resourced for the hardest job on earth – parenting. Booking link.
