Successful Sunday, June 29th, 2025

Hi, Subscribers. I am Stacy Casson, and I write this blog to get ready for the week ahead. This blog uses the power of Play to guide our daily lives. Play can help you grow personally and professionally, and it helps power up your creativity, problem-solving skills, and overall well-being. Let’s set ourselves up for success and inspiration and remember to find joy in every step of our development.

It’s time for an accountability check-in. My five-minute tasks were more around digital decluttering. I wrote daily but did not do as good as a job decompressing. However, I did attend my Disconnect to Reconnect event yesterday and unplugged. An hour was not long enough. I finally started to relax and unwind in the final ten minutes. I sketched for the bulk of it and finally I finally leaned back on my blanket looking up at the trees and the birds, I was at ease. Today, I set up the first Hot Seat live link. I was considering not doing it and just meeting with the people who signed up in private, so I scheduled it before I lost the nerve. I still have open slots. Sign up here: https://www.jotform.com/form/251654912259159. Nominations end at midnight EST June 30th. What were your wins?

This week, I’m continuing with THE LINEAGES OF CHANGE TAROT, Copyright © Lineages of Change (Adrienne maree brown, LLC; Alta Starr; chelsea cleveland; and Krista Franklin).

Since I wanted to run away from my hot seat, I’m curious to learn more. Let’s get some insights from the cards.

4 Tarot Cards: The Acorn, Temperence Reversed, Two of Earth, The World Reversed

What is happening? I got The Acorn Reversed. This card had also shown up in my new moon reading. She takes a drag from her hand rolled blunt as she stares at me with her unblinking eyes. “How do expect to be abundant and verdant if you are running away?” The bees gently buzz around her. I notice the trees behind her. She is naked and unbothered surrounded by acorns. “How did it feel yesterday when you sat under the trees?” It was wonderful and soothing. I also felt how tired I was and today I am recognizing that I continue to not honor the need for rest. So, I tell her, that’s why I want to cancel the series. It’s a big commitment and most times people don’t show up. “What about the people who do show up? You say you want to help people. Or you want to help your ego? You want to fly like the bird, but the bees work to make that honey. They work in community. You must dig up the earth to plant the seeds. Rest on your own time. If you step away, you will be unraveling the work you are trying to do. Is that what you want?” No, it’s not what I want.

What can help? Next came Temperance Reversed and the Two of Earth. The Two of Earth speaks first, “You are juggling building something and your burnout. Call it what it is. I see you want to nap even now and it’s morning. I want you to close your eyes for a minute and tell me what comes to mind.” Mainly me counting the seconds but also that I need to rest to be fully present for these sessions. Temperance pipes up, “And who is responsible for you being tired?” Her freaky little strawberry eye minion feels like a lie detector. Me, I mumble under my breath. I’m falling back to my old habits. New attitude means that I have to do things differently. I have another project that I also want to promote and today, just like yesterday, I planned things back-to-back. The Acorn blows smoke in my face. The three of them say in unison, “What are you doing to do?” The first thing that comes to mind is “Say No.” Say no to things that make me tired or will not help me. Say no to watching your K-Drama right before bed. I just checked and currently, all my appointments have buffers so that I don’t have back-to-back meetings. Say yes to walk breaks and honestly, I am going to close my eyes for a few after I post this.

What’s next? I got The World Reversed. “Even though you feel underwater, you are holding what you hold precious safe.” Looking at the picture, I feel like the hand should throw it. Our bees are there again for guidance. What do you do when you are drowning? You tilt your head back and float. I feel like I’ve been flailing and trying so hard and it’s wearing me out. Maybe I don’t need to hold up the entire world. Maybe I can let things go and rest and allow the water to support me. Maybe I need to spend more time on a blanket looking up at the trees. What I like about floating in the water is the quiet and feeling connected. “You aren’t alone,” The World whispers. “See I have sent my tiny messengers.” Nature and our bodies give us messages all the time. My next step is to take a nap. None of this is running away and I don’t have to have everything figured out today. It’s easier to plan when you make time for yourself. How are you going to make time for yourself? Namaste

Picture Descriptions: The Acorn is a nude Black woman sitting in a pile of acorns and taking a drag. There are two trees in the background and three bees flying around. Behind her is something that looks like a dream catcher with a white lace border and red yarn. She wears an acorn helmet. Temperence strikes a pose with a fully organic floral ensemble. She is against a blue background and there is an eye with a strawberry cap on a stalk peering from behind a sunflower. The Two of Earth is a Black woman encased in earth like an earth iceberg floating in the sky. Everything is lush and verdant and there are trees that make up her shoulders and several spheres embedded in the landscape. The World is a hand holding the Earth above water while three bees fly along.
