Hi, Subscribers. I am Stacy Casson, and I write this blog to get ready for the week ahead. This blog uses the power of Play to guide our daily lives. Play can help you grow personally and professionally, and it helps power up your creativity, problem-solving skills, and overall well-being. Let’s set ourselves up for success and inspiration, and remember to find joy in every step of our development.
It’s time for an accountability check-in. I have been a little more haphazard with my five-minute tasks. This week, I focused on digital decluttering. I received some wonderful feedback about that ImpAct session I told you all about last week. This week we also did some DIY and fixed some wall plates! 💪🏽 I was ready to quit. I wanted to take all my toys and go home. Then I did a Thought Tennis session with Asmara Kazmi, and after the tears, I’m like Patti LaBelle. “Ooo ooo ooo ooo oooooo, I’ve got a new attitude!” I’m the new founder of Overwhelmed Anonymous, which ties in brilliantly with Procrastinators Anonymous, as I plan to form this new community someday. Anyone want to join? What were your wins?
This week, I’m continuing with THE LINEAGES OF CHANGE TAROT, Copyright © Lineages of Change (Adrienne maree brown, LLC; Alta Starr; chelsea cleveland; and Krista Franklin).

What is happening? We begin with the Devil. The first thing that comes to mind is that the devil’s in the details. I’m starting a new habit this week of writing for thirty minutes a day. I don’t know if writing my blog is cheating. I also just asked the kids to help me with today’s daily five minute declutter. What are some things that you have been putting off, or what are you using to distract you from them? The insight from the deck’s creators continues the theme of release that I’ve been exploring with this week’s new moon. “Nobody in the world, nobody in history, has ever gotten their freedom by appealing to the moral sense of the people who were oppressing them. Revolution is about change, and the first place the change begins is in yourself.” – Assata Shakur, Assata: An Authbiography. I’ve realized that I need to challenge some long held beliefs. What old stories can you release in advance of the coming week?
What is the challenge? The Two of Air Reversed suggests that I may still be struggling to adopt a new attitude. I can choose to remain defeated, or I can take back control of the narrative. I have a t-shirt that says, “I am what you don’t know you need.” I take ownership of the fact that you may not know you need me because I have not made it clear why. People do not want to look in the mirror and see their faults. I’ve been at this for over five years, and it’s hard to admit that I am my biggest obstacle. The good news is that I have the solutions since I am the boss of me. Asmara asked me when I stopped playing in my business. So, I took the advice of 'physician, heal thyself' and am gifting myself this Clarity Nugget via this blog. I’m planning a Hot Seat Summer. Please feel free to ask me when this is happening, so that I will be held accountable. What’s a decision you have been sitting on?
What can help? The Star Reversed depicts a little kid with a bob haircut with bangs against a starry night sky. Megan Thee Stallion’s song “Mamushi” comes to mind. “I get money, I’m a star, star, star” – Megan Thee Stallion, Yuki Chiba, and Koshy. Affirmations are an excellent way to change your internal narrative. My first order of business in overcoming procrastination is to journal on this prompt that The Queen Po shared, adapted from the ‘Words Are Spells’ Activity Journal by Empress Quamine. “How do I carry myself when I believe without question that I am worthy?” Stars do not have a power switch. They just shine. How will you rewrite your script? I am going to listen to Patti LaBelle’s “New Attitude” all this week. What about you?
What is a next step? Once again, we end with a card that signifies the end of a cycle. The Ten of Air is the Ten of Swords in traditional tarot. It’s hitting rock bottom. Like En Vogue sang, “Free your mind, and the rest will follow.” I just made a Free Your Mind playlist 😊 The ten wind figures are blowing against each other. They are at an impasse. Where is the stalemate in your life? I tend to live in my mind, and that disconnects me from my bodily wisdom and intuition. This must be the accountability blog. I truly need to honor the decompression sessions that I have on my calendar. Will I betray myself, or will I honor my time? My top three: daily writing, daily decompression, and daily declutter. What about you?
What would you do with an hour to yourself? Maybe you would have the headspace to journal about that last argument? Maybe you would simply be. If you are local to South Florida, there are still spots available for my 'Disconnect from the World; Reconnect with Yourself' event.
You can join virtually if you are not local. Go to your favorite place in nature on Saturday, June 28th, at 8:30 am and spend an hour away from technology. You can get your guide here.
If you want to infuse more play into your life to navigate the challenges, my current offerings are listed on my Link Tree. I also urge you to share your experiences and strategies with the community. Your voice is valuable to this journey, and your unique path can inspire others.
Picture Descriptions: The Devil: A jumble of images such as terror birds, wings, crocodiles, and pleasure in a ball of fire against a border of jagged black teeth-like shapes. Two of Air reversed: Two women in long flowing dresses standing so close together, they almost appear to be conjoined. Many flowers surround them. There is a compass to the left, and mountains are visible in the background. The Star is a little child with a bob haircut with bangs against a background of a vast starry night. Two rainbow tie-dye blotches are on the left. The Ten of Air shows ten ancestors with pink and blue hair that are like wind clouds blowing air against each other.
