Successful Sunday July 13, 2025

Hi, Subscribers. I am Stacy Casson, and I write this blog to get ready for the week ahead. This blog uses the power of Play to guide our daily lives. Play can help you grow personally and professionally, and it helps power up your creativity, problem-solving skills, and overall well-being. Let’s set ourselves up for success and inspiration, and remember to find joy in every step of our development.

It’s time for an accountability check-in. I had two incredible guests in the hot seat yesterday. If you missed it, you can watch the replay here. Want to be in the Hot Seat? Nominate yourself here. I finally cleared enough space on my computer so that I could see previews again. I successfully created a Seven Days of Soothing video series. I was able to hold space without turning into Little Miss Fixit. I completed a few more decompression sessions. Mom turned eighty, and my other son is back home! What were your wins?

This week, I’m continuing with THE LINEAGES OF CHANGE TAROT, Copyright © Lineages of Change (Adrienne maree brown, LLC; Alta Starr; chelsea cleveland; and Krista Franklin).

4 Tarot Cards: Judgement reversed, Ace of Water reversed, The World, Temperance

What is happening? If I was one of the people pictured in this Judgement card, my internal monologue would probably sound like, “How long are we going to kneel? I need to pee. Did I remember to post that file?” I have noticed my mind being able to push past the boredom during my decompression sessions this week. Most of the time, I realize I am tired. Then I get up and tackle my to-do list. Holding boundaries is our area of focus. I am realizing with many half-baked thoughts. It is going to require going into a cocoon, dissolving who I thought I was and eventually emerging as a butterfly. “Are you going to let someone else’s view of who you should be, and what you should do, hold you back?” – Charmaine Wilkerson

What is the challenge? The Ace of Water reversed points to resistance to stillness. On my drive home, “Can You Stand the Rain?” by New Edition was playing on the radio. Before I knew it I was almost ugly crying. Almost. Partly because it was starting to rain and I needed to pay attention to the road. The other reason was because I did not understand why I felt this way. I immediately jumped to my head to analyze instead of just feeling them. One of the hardest questions to answer is when people ask me, “How are you?” Who of us is truly okay under the current circumstances and yet, I keep myself at the view from the top of the well. I don’t want to dip into what lies beneath the surface. Diving into that water is going to be an essential part of the transformation process. Isn’t there always something though? I can’t have a nervous breakdown right now because I must go to work. I can’t have a nervous breakdown right now because my kid has a doctor’s appointment. Can you stand the rain?

What can help? The World card re-emerges, and the hand underwater suggests that indeed, we need to take the plunge. The World is about completion and the end of a cycle. The bees remind me that we are not on this journey alone and have guidance. Perhaps it’s a nudge to go to the park after work and decompress in nature. What can help you to be still?

What is a way forward? Temperance looks at us quizzically. Her little strawberry eyeball friend also gives us side eye while looking at us head on. We don’t have to do all the things and make all the changes. One of my Seven Days of Soothing prompt was to do the next thing. My next thing often is to take a deep breath. Maybe the next time I feel like crying in the car, I should just pull over. Usually there is nothing truly that urgent. While working on this blog, my kid’s charger broke. You know who was looking up makes and models. Even my eldest child told me that not everything needs an urgent solution. Yes, little strawberry side eye. I see you. I see me. The first step is admitting you have a problem. Are you ready? Namaste.

Picture Descriptions: Judgment (Reversed) – Several Black People kneel while dressed professionally. They are kneeling on archival newspaper and there are stalks and the night against them in the background. Ace of Water (Reversed) – Four black masks with blue features make a cross shape against what could be a well while a crowd of blue and purple silhouettes look on. The World is a hand holding the Earth above water while three bees fly along. Temperence strikes a pose with a fully organic floral ensemble. She is against a blue background and there is an eye with a strawberry cap on a stalk peering from behind a sunflower.
