From Overwhelm to Action

January 11th, 2026

hi, friends 👋🏽. I’m Stacy Casson, Chief Play Officer at Things to Think About, LLC. With over twenty years of continuous improvement experience, I’ve learned to stay calm in a crisis—unless you’re that jerk in the white Tesla who doesn’t understand how indicators work. Get ready with me!

Is your calendar packed to the gills? Are you constantly double or triple-booked? Do you feel like you have to choose who you are going to fail today? You don’t have to face the doubts alone. I write this blog to help executive leaders move from overwhelm to action. As Dan Martell says, “A problem well defined is a problem half-solved.”

Step 1: Celebrate Your Wins

Pause for a moment:
What’s one thing you accomplished this week—big or small?
Did you make an offer?
Finally get your benefits sorted?
Asked for a raise?
This week, I successfully made curry goat! I also revamped my Problem Solving Playshop. Michael Leslie invited me to a Mindful Mask Making Class and I made a mask.

Drop your win in the comments or share it with a friend! Now, let’s proactively plan for the week ahead to set ourselves up for success and reduce overwhelm.

This week is more of a field report. I 5S'd my junk closet. 5S is an organization technique to streamline and simplify your space. It started with coffee. My kid brought a business card from someone who does organizing.
That literally was part of my job, so we decided to tackle the junk closet.

Sort: Take everything out of the space. Decide what to keep, trash and donate.
Then you put it back in order by frequency of use and types of objects.
I found my poker set!!

What treasures will you find when you release what no longer serves you?
